On the occasion of the opening of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Croatian capital Zagreb is organising two concerts by the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc. The first of them takes place today, 7 July, in Zagreb's concert hall "Vatroslav Lisinski" and the second concert will take place tomorrow at the Cultural Centre in Daruvar.
Both events will be held with the great contribution of the sponsor, Đuro Đaković Grupa d. d. Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc is one of the most important and oldest symphony orchestras in the Czech Republic. It is based in the historic capital of Moravia, the city of Olomouc, and has been a leader of musical activities in the region for 70 years. In addition, the orchestra is an authentic interpreter of Czech classics such as Antonín Dvořák, Bedřich Smetana, Leoš Janáček and Bohuslav Martinů.
