The industrial holding CE Industries is looking for new people in finance who have an analytical mindset and a willingness to learn. Working in the Group's treasury department presents a daily challenge related to financial management. The introduction of modern technologies that enable efficient cash flow management and risk minimization play a key role. According to Radek Feiferlik, Treasury Director of CE Industries, the success of the team is built on expertise, creativity and a willingness to learn.

What do you consider to be the biggest challenge in your role as Treasury Director?

Working in the treasury department is unique in its complexity. The CE Industries Group brings together over 20 companies in Europe and the US, each with its own needs and structure. We sell all over the world. The biggest challenge is finding synergies that streamline processes and bring value to the entire group. Every day is different, every situation requires creativity and analytical thinking.

What type of candidates are you looking for for your team?

We are looking for people who are not only experts in finance, but also have analytical and creative skills. Most important is the willingness to learn, the courage to take on challenges and the ability to think in context. Graduates from universities such as the Czech Technical University in Prague with a technical background and an interest in trading or risk management are ideal candidates. I want to work with the best. Please feel free to send me your CV.

What would you recommend to graduates who want to start a career in treasury?

A good knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, programming or statistics is a prerequisite for success. Then you need to be given the opportunity to develop your knowledge. A bank or a multinational corporation is a good address. Here is a chance to have someone to learn specific skills from.

What role does technology play in your work?

Technology is key. For example, implementing treasury management software (TMS) allows us to react quickly to market changes, monitor cash flow and minimise risk. Proper implementation is challenging but delivers invaluable results. The same applies to commercial insurance management software.

What is the most interesting thing about your work?

Diversity. One day we're dealing with acquisition financing in the railway sector, the next we're negotiating operational financing with banks in the energy sector or analysing macroeconomic risk and hedging it against market movements. Each project is different and brings new insights. And every day is different. We certainly don't get bored in this work.

What impact does Treasury have on the overall success of CE Industries?

Huge. Treasury is not only about liquidity and cash flow management, but also about predicting and reducing market risks, securing financing or optimizing costs. We are a strategic partner for both the holding company's management and the individual companies we support or advise on a daily basis.
