If the electricity from the new nuclear power plant at Dukovany is too expensive, consumers will pay for it in their bills. The new law on low-carbon energy, which is supposed to make the construction possible, will allow for this and the government wants to have it ready by the middle of the year. According to the document, reported by Respekt magazine, the support for the new reactor will work in a similar way to that for renewables. The nuclear power component will be part of the regulated component of the electricity price, which makes up about half of the bills.
